It’s been a great week for Donna O’Shea Fitness and I’m so happy to share my recent nomination and a new article I had published this week.
1. EXPAT LIVING READER AWARDS 2015
I was training a client this week and they mentioned I had been nominated for top personal trainer in Singapore by Expat Living Magazine as part of their Reader Awards 2015. I had no idea and am totally thrilled. It’s really rewarding to see the hard work that has gone into setting up Donna O’Shea Fitness over the last two years be recognised by such a well respected voice as Expat Living! 2. WORK OUT: C-SECTIONS
For new mums and mums to be it can sometimes be hard knowing when and how to exercise. There can be even more anxiety about how to exercise following a c-section. This week the Sassy Mama website featured my article on workouts to get you ready for your c-section, plus exercises to help you get your pre baby body back post delivery. This website is a fantastic source of information for mums not just in Singapore but anyone looking for tips and recommendations when is comes to pregnancy and raising your little ones. 3. RECIPE: RED CABBAGE SALAD
I mentioned this in a previous post. Easy to throw together and full of goodness. Serves 2. Makes a great side dish or accompaniment to a fritatta or quiche.
Half a small red cabbage chopped;
Couple of handfuls of greens (rocket and spinach works well);
10 small tomatoes halved;
One red onion thinly sliced;
Handful of small broccoli florets;
Tablespoon sunflower or pumpkin seeds;
Sliced beeetroot or carrot.
Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with one tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and drizzle on top.
